Weighs almost nothing and folds up small enough to shove into any pack, so it’s easy to keep one in every vehicle. Unfolded it’s sturdy enough to move a full-grown adult without sagging, which is exactly what you want in a disposable litter.

Packed it in our trauma bag after comparing prices with other litters, and the lightweight construction makes it a no-brainer for quick deployment. The fold-out design is simple enough that even our newest volunteer got it set up on the first try.

Used it in a mass-casualty drill last week and the rapid deployment really worked — unfolded and secured in under a minute without fumbling. Given how cheap it is, I’m ordering a few more to stash in every vehicle; it’s the kind of thing you hope you never need but feel stupid not having.
